Waistline-Friendly Cheese Fries

Posted on 23. Feb, 2010 by in Diet - Food

A few weeks ago my husband and I both reactivated our Weight Watchers Online memberships. I’ve learned the hard way that it’s a lot easier to follow the plan when you have a live-in diet buddy! The first few days were definitely the worst – we were literally lying in bed at night trying to guess whose stomach was growling louder – but it’s getting easier as we go along.

I’m a junk-food junkie, but I know that sort of stuff is only okay in moderation. I’ve found a few good low-fat versions of my favorites that are actually pretty good, especially this Weight Watchers recipe for CHEESE FRIES!

It takes a little more time and effort to cut up your own potatoes and bake fries instead of running through the McDonald’s drive-thru, but  if you season them properly and add the low-fat cheese on top, they’re actually pretty good. I won’t lie – this recipe isn’t going to fool you into thinking you’re having an appetizer at Chili’s or Outback, but they’re not bad at all when you are trying to lose weight, and they probably won’t give you a grease-induced stomachache later that evening, either. I think it’s fair to say that if I’m willing to eat them, most other people will like em, too.

It is better to eat at home any. It’s friendly for both your waistline and for your wallet.
