My Billy Mays / Andy Warhol-style picture

So far I like my summer classes at AI of Tampa.

I’m taking Computer Concepts and 2D Applications (i.e. “learn the basics of Photoshop and Illustrator”) and Principles of Design II, formerly called Color Theory (i.e. “learn about colors and create some projects involving colors.”)

The other day in Computer Concepts the teacher gave a brief background of Andy Warhol’s cool pictures of Marilyn Monroe and then for an assignement we started to alter celebrity images in Photoshop in that similar style.

I saw a lot of students creating masterpieces involving Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Albert Einstein … the list goes on and on. I decided to use a photo of Billy Mays … or as my teacher announced to the class, “Hey she’s doing the OxiClean guy! He lived here in Tampa too!”

A few people snickered, but I’m proud to have chosen Billy Mays as my subject.

I’m still a beginner at all of this, but I wanted to share my work so here it is.
