2009 Walk for Epilepsy: SUCCESS!

Following the path ...

Following the path ...

I participated in the 2009 National Walk for Epilepsy on March 28th in Washington, DC along with my husband, daughter, and parents. Our team also had 2 “virtual walkers” that could not attend the real event but promised to walk 2 miles for epilepsy on their own. We raised over $500 for epilepsy research!

It was cold and windy, especially for Floridians, but I am proud and happy that I was able to walk.

I even got a chance to meet Greg Grunberg, star of NBC’s “Heroes” and member of “The Band from TV,” that was chairperson of the Walk. His son has epilepsy and recently had brain surgery to hopefully stop the seizures. I am lucky in the fact that I have been seizure-free for over a year. My medication seems to be keeping things under control.

Here I am with Greg and Bobby!
